AMANDA RAMIREZ

Philosophy

I am a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College, specializing in Pediatric Neuropsychology. Before returning to school to pursue my Doctorate, I taught 2nd grade! I love working with children, and it is my goal to genuinely collaborate with families to help them support their children in meeting their goals. I work primarily from a cognitive-behavioral orientation to help develop healthier thought patterns and adaptable behaviors. I am a huge advocate of resilience building strategies, to support children as they grow through their challenges. I am an Illinois native. I love spending time reading, being outdoors, playing music, or hanging out with my pets!
